The Walley is our original narwhal whale sculpture, designed & hand-painted in house at White Faux Taxidermy studio by a professional artist. The whimsical narwhal is sometimes referred to as the 'unicorn whale' or 'unicorn of the sea', as it certainly looks to be a creature of fantasy. Yet even though this ocean mammal appears too magical to be true, it can sure enough be found in the frigid arctic waters near Canada and Greenland. The brilliantly spiraled staff is actually an extended tooth, thought to be used in attracting a mate or hunting for fish. This protruding whale head mount is the perfect contemporary coastal decor for a chic nursery or seaside bedroom. We sculpt our narwhal head from resin, so no sealife is harmed in production. Each fake animal head is individually hand-painted in a variety of trendy colors and unique finishes.
